The Shenandoah Soil and Water Conservation District Board typically meets the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. The Board is composed of six elected Directors, two appointed Directors, and a varying number of Associate Directors. Two elected Directors represent Harrisonburg, two represent Rockingham County, and two represent Page County. The Virginia Soil and Water Board appoints one Director to represent the Virginia Cooperative Extension and another at-large Director. District Directors serve four-year terms. Non-voting Associate Directors are appointed by the District Board to serve two-year terms in an advisory capacity.
