The interns will assist SVSWCD staff with coordination and implementation of a variety of conservation work. This may include: site visits, field work, review and implementation of various conservation projects as well as activities related to other SVSWCD services and programs. A more specific internship position description is available.
The unpaid internships require a minimum commitment of 12 hours a week. Schedule is variable 2-5 days per week; 4-8 hours per day. Commitments of larger blocks of time (6+ hours/day) will allow for more varied experiences with more time in the field. Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at the time of the internship. Upon successful completion of internship the student may be eligible for an intern scholarship from the SVSWCD. The internship schedule is flexible, but typically aligns with the office hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The proposed start date of the internship is September 5, 2017 and the proposed end date is December 15, 2017. These dates are flexible, as school schedules vary and will affect intern availability.
