Paid Summer PSNT Position

The Shenandoah Valley Soil & Water Conservation District (SVSWCD) has an opening for seasonal employees to assist with the District’s Pre-Sidedress Nitrate Testing (PSNT) Program.  Employees will perform a range of technical and administrative duties pertaining to the implementation of the PSNT Program.  Responsibilities include regular contact with farmers requiring judgement and tact.  Supervision will be provided by SVSWCD staff.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and proficient computer skills.  The ideal applicant will also have knowledge and experience in agriculture.  See the PSNT Technician Position Description for more details.   Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check.  Hourly wage: $13-17/hour.  No benefits are provided.  Seasonal employment will begin on or around May 19 and likely run through August 1, 4-9 hours per day, 2-5 days per week.
